Bastrop, TX / February 21, 2025 / Lost Pines Toyota is proud to announce its partnership with Empowering Women Out of Prison (EWOP), an organization dedicated to helping women in prison transform their lives and reenter society successfully. This collaboration highlights the dealership’s commitment to offering second-chance employment opportunities and its dedication to making a positive impact in the community.
As a second-chance employer, Lost Pines Toyota believes in giving individuals the opportunity to rebuild their lives and create a better future. By offering stable, meaningful employment to those who have faced significant challenges, the dealership helps break the cycle of recidivism. Recidivism refers to the tendency of previously incarcerated individuals to relapse into criminal behavior, but EWOP’s program has proven successful in dramatically reducing these rates among its participants, helping them reintegrate into society as confident, responsible citizens. In fact, in just four years, the EWOP program has maintained a zero recidivism rate, a remarkable achievement that speaks to the transformative power of their work.
In support of EWOP’s mission, Lost Pines Toyota’s Accounting Controller, Bruce Lutz, and Receptionist, Beth Wexler, recently had the second opportunity to participate in one of EWOP’s classes. During the class, Bruce conducted a mock interview with Beth to help prepare participants for successful job searches. This hands-on approach is a vital part of the EWOP program, which focuses on equipping women with the skills, confidence, and support they need to thrive in the workforce, including self-employment.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with EWOP and support the women in their program,” said Carlos Liriano, Owner at Lost Pines Toyota. “At Lost Pines Toyota, we firmly believe in providing opportunities for growth, and we see firsthand how meaningful employment can change lives. This partnership gives us the chance to contribute to a larger movement that offers lasting change and transformation.”
Lost Pines Toyota also had the honor of attending EWOP’s Annual Fundraiser Gala in the fall of 2024, where Carlos, along with several members of the dealership team, gathered to celebrate the success of the program and its participants. The evening was filled with heartwarming stories of transformation, powerful testimonials, and incredible support for the organization’s mission. It was truly a remarkable and inspiring event, and the Lost Pines Toyota team is excited to continue fostering this important partnership.
EWOP is more than just a program; it is a revolution that brings real, lasting results. Through their innovative approach to rehabilitation and reintegration, the organization provides women with the tools they need to succeed both professionally and personally. By preparing them for the workforce and guiding them toward self-sufficiency, EWOP offers participants the chance at a fresh start—a chance that Lost Pines Toyota is honored to help provide.
Lost Pines Toyota’s dedication to creating a supportive environment for those who may not have had access to such opportunities is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a second chance. Through initiatives like this, the dealership is proud to continue fostering growth and change, not just in the lives of their employees, but in the broader Bastrop community.
